To whoever still who still visits this forsaken website, I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates.
My life hasn’t been very eventful lately, and neither have I been thinking of anything intelligent to post.
If you’re really interested, then I shall satisfy your need by sharing a short update about myself.
I have been trying to train for this year’s Sundown ultra, so my distance covered every week is about 30-40km.
It is a significantly large increase in mileage based on what I covered last year, and as a result, injuries are quite unavoidable.
Previously I mentioned that I injured my left hamstring and things have taken a turn for the worst.
My physiotherapist said that my left hamstring is much weaker than my right hamstring and I have been straining it too much, and that I should cut down.
I cannot afford to cut down because I need to prepare myself, both physically and mentally, for the Sundown ultra. I am expecting myself to complete 84km in around 13 to 14 hours, and I only have 4 more months left to train.
Still, I am going to go against all odds, and I promise this year will be my last year of doing long distances. I am going to cut down on long distances to protect my joints and my knees, and focus on breaking my records for short distances (i.e 10km, 21km).
On a totally different issue, I have exactly 100 more days to ORD.
