I booked a last minute trip to Bangkok as I had some errands to run, forgetting that it was the June school holidays and most flights are already fully booked.
I made the painful decision to bring my expensive butt on a business class ticket back to Singapore.
The SilverKris lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport is newly revamped and I have received some emails regarding it, however when I entered the lounge this evening, it was crowded as hell and I had difficulty finding myself a seat. I ended up sharing a table with a nice gentleman who had his laptop taking up the entire table I only had space to put a can of diet coke.
I didn’t bother taking any photos because it wasn’t that nice or interesting. Toilets were small, 3 urinals and 1 sitting cubicle, with no shower facilities. I swear you can get bigger toilets outside of the lounge in various corners around the airport terminal. Menu options were also quite limited. I did enjoy the pineapple fried rice though.
Boarding was slightly delayed because of the heavy rain. BKK airport runway traffic is horrendous as usual and we only pulled back about 25 minutes later.
It was a short flight so nothing too special. Dinner was okay, they placed the cream of chicken (or was it mushroom I can’t really tell) inside an empty potato skin. The salad was done Thai style with no spiciness, the exact way I liked it to be. I asked for garlic bread and was given a small piece. I would have pressed the call light to ask for an extra serving, but firstly, I’m not such a dick and secondly, if I really wanted garlic bread, I can just go Pizza Hut after landing.
They had this 70 years exclusive Hello Kitty box set that’s really cute and small, and I’m the kind of person that questions “why and what do I need this for?”
But then I buy it anyway.
