I was craving for some oysters and suggested going for a restaurant or hotel buffet, however as we were driving towards town, we made a detour to some random Google search result.
We ended up at Greenwood Fish Market, which was quite an esteemed establishment that even has an outlet at Sentosa Cove, which country bumpkins like me have no knowledge of.
The menu is quite exhaustive and they had quite a selection of oysters. I don’t know much about the different origins so I had them recommend and wasn’t disappointed. Oysters were fresh and juicy, probably the best way I could describe. The guy who attended to us was very detailed and insisted on us to try their monkfish. It was apparently supposed to taste like lobster. The lamb rank was grilled to a nice medium rare and we weren’t certain if these were gonna be filling enough so we ordered an extra pasta just to be sure.
The monkfish did taste subtly like lobster to me, although the majority of the table disagreed. I guess maybe it’s just mental, or maybe it’s just the taste of the ocean.
It wasn’t as affordable as we thought, honestly we were just expecting a range of 200 to 300, but good food and good company, I don’t think there’s much to kick a fuss about.
