I am very inspired to change the title of my blog to ‘Kristos Kai Kosmos’ because Pastor Kong has been talking a lot about the cultural mandate during SOT this week.
The past 4 days have been awesome. I am very impacted by what Pastor shared, especially when he began to testify about the various church members who are really making an impact in society today. These members are really reaping huge blessings from God.
It began to stretch my vision and increase my capacity. My faith is really empowered and charged!
Lessons ended about half an hour earlier today, and Pastor Kong began to open up a time of question and answer. He was expecting students to clarify anything regarding the cultural mandate, but the students actually started asking him about his personal life, the struggles he went through, and also about his relationship with Sun.
As he began to share about his personal life and struggles, it opened up my eyes. Pastor Kong is human too. He said this, “Life is not a fairytale. If you want to play safe, don’t do anything great.” I am very impacted by his dedication and commitment to building City Harvest Church. His level of faith to overcome challenges is something that I would really like to cultivate.
And as I was on duty, I had the opportunity to escort him for the past few days. Today was no exception, but today was the first time we actually held a proper conversation instead of the usual “Hi Pastor!” and nothing else. Pastor gave me a very assuring and encouraging pat on the back.
His humility, dedication and commitment really touched me. For the rest of my life, I have decided to lay down my life, dedicate myself to serving this great man and his vision.
